Xbox Series S also includes our new Xbox Wireless Controller in Robot White. This controller will also be available as a standalone purchase this holiday season and includes all the features we’ve detailed so far, such as improved ergonomics, a hybrid d-pad, triggers, bumpers, and a textured grip on the back.

Xbox S Series delivers the same next-generation speed and performance that defines Xbox Series X. It’s similar to the Xbox Series X in CPU and I/O performance, making it easier for developers to deliver the same high performance while rendering at lower resolutions.
The Xbox Series S offers 4x more processing power than the Xbox One console and supports experiences up to 120fps with hardware-accelerated DirectX rate competition and variable speed shader support for more immersive and responsive gameplay.
In addition, Xbox S series includes 512GB of dedicated SSD storage and is powered by Xbox Velocity architecture, offering more than 40x the I/O bandwidth of Xbox One, faster load times, consistent frame rates, and multiple provides faster continuation for titles.
Xbox Series X And Xbox Series S: Designing The Next Generation Of Consoles
You’ll experience the same great sound on Xbox S Series as the surround sound on Xbox Series X, including Dolby Atmos support.

In addition, Xbox Series X and Xbox S Series share the same development environment, tools and capabilities, all of which allow developers to more easily build and release their content on consoles by leveraging the unique hardware capabilities of the next generation.
