How to Add Friends in Path of Exile 2

Adding friends in Path of Exile 2 is easy as you only need your friend’s username and tag. With full cross-play support, you can add friends from any platform.

Steps to add friends:

1. Open the Social tab (press J on the keyboard).
2. Go to the Friends tab.
3. Enter your friend’s username and tag after the “#” in the Friend Invite field.
4. Press Send to send the request. It will appear in your friend’s Social tab under Invitations Received.

If you are part of a Guild, you can check who’s online, send private messages, or invite them to a party through the Guild tab.

How to Create a Party in Path of Exile 2

After adding friends, it’s time to create a party. Follow these steps to create a party:

1. Open the Create Party tab in the Social menu.
2. Choose the option to create a party or join one.
3. Select Create Party, then invite your online friends. You can make the party public, so anyone can join.
4. You can also set restrictions on the party, such as only allowing friends or invites only.
5. Once someone joins, you will be notified to gather at the same location.

Can You Disable Cross-play in Path of Exile 2?

While Path of Exile 2 offers full cross-play between PS5, Xbox, and PC, some players may prefer to only encounter players from their own system in the game.

Currently, there is no way to fully disable cross-play in the game. You won’t find an option to enable or disable this feature in the settings or Social menu. The ability to disable cross-play may come in a future update.

However, if you are playing on Xbox Series X|S or PS5, you can disable cross-play through the console settings under Account and Network. PC players currently don’t have an option to disable cross-play in Path of Exile 2.
