Torrentgame – Warner Bros. Games has announced that Season 4 will be the final seasonal update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The upcoming update will also introduce an offline mode as part of this last season.
Season 4 will kick off with Episode 7 on December 10 and conclude with Episode 8 on January 14, 2025. The offline mode will allow players to enjoy the campaign content and seasonal story missions without needing an internet connection. However, players will still need to be online to progress through the battle pass, purchase in-game items, and access the leaderboards.
Warner Bros. Games has also clarified that they have no plans to shut down the online servers for the game, and the in-game currency, LutherCoin, will remain available for purchase even after Season 4 ends. This final season will also introduce Deathstroke as a playable character, joining the Suicide Squad to fight against Brainiac.
Back in May, Warner Bros. Discovery revealed that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League had been a “disappointment” and failed financially, leading to a loss of $200 million. Despite this, the company will continue to focus on its core franchises with more live-service games, mobile games, and free-to-play titles.
The game reportedly received minimal support from developer Rocksteady Studios, which has since shifted its focus to new projects, including a director’s cut version of Hogwarts Legacy. In GameSpot’s review of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, we mentioned, “The first game from Rocksteady in almost a decade couldn’t avoid the feeling that this superhero-as-a-service genre exists merely to keep players engaged without a clear purpose.”
